To me the Nativity scene represents the true meaning of Christmas. The story of the NATIVITY has always stuck with me and will continue to stick with me. Since I was little, every Christmas morning started off with the Christmas story from the gospels. I can remember sitting in the living room of my Grandparents house with all our family, passing around the Bible taking turns reading passages of the story before opening our gifts. I even remember my siblings and I reciting some of the scriptures from memory (thank you Grammar School).

I think the Nativity scene is a very important reminder. Around the holidays we tend to get caught up in our busy lives, hustling around and checking off items on our Christmas lists. But we never stop to realize what Christmas is truly about. It’s not about the gifts we get or gifts we give; it’s about the gift that God graciously gave us: Jesus.
